Legal advocacy, community activism and government policy are the three areas of focus of the Initiative's cohorts. Social issues don't exist in a vacuum. That's why our program emphasizes change on every level, by all means. Our students engage in a holistic study of how to make change happen, and gain skills, contacts, and resources they need to become lifelong change-makers.
The Agents of Change Civil Rights Advocacy Initiative is the first experiential undergraduate civil rights clinic in the nation. In addition to merging real-time civil rights advocacy with its graded curriculum, USC Dornsife supports participating students' work with monthly stipends. The USC Dornsife Office of Experiential and Applied Learning is committed to making civil rights advocacy available to students regardless of financial or other difficulties. Through the Initiative, all dedicated students can engage in important work at this defining moment in our history.
